Printing

Hello. C J here. Making games and novels is a hard job. They take years of work to make each one. That normally is the hard part, but unfortunately in this industry there is another hurdle to overcome. Printing. Getting a game in print is hard, costly and not always that lucrative. Printing and shipping costs can be high and that’s if you can find a printer willing to work with you at all.

In light of this, I’m handling all of the printing and book binding for my own products myself. All of them. I’m working with some of the nice people at the local Staples to get a super high end laser printer. I’m talking about a spaceship printer. Like a spaceship you can own that prints you books. I’m printing everything myself and binding them with coil bindings using a machine. Everything will be handmade. I’m debating currently between options for the front covers. There are a lot of good ones and I like them all.

Everything I do will be printed and bound this way. The RPG manuals will be on high quality glossy paper. The novels will be printed on normal printer paper cut into the right shape with glossy covers. If I want smaller format books I can use small glossy paper to print them. These will be expensive to obtain because I make them by hand. Here’s the pitch. Hand made, hand bound, Canadian made RPG manuals. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

When they are done I’m going to sell them though the Facebook page. I print them to order, so I can accommodate any number of books at once. They are never out of print ever and will never see a new edition either. They will never be obsolete. Also, the eCommerce platform I’m using on the website is hard to set up and I’m getting tired of it. I’m going to be doing just print sales through Facebook from now on. The books will all be in print by the end of the Summer. Fare thee well, Travelers.
